Alfred PORTENEUVE (1896 – 1949) – Cabinet

Rare and exceptional cabinet veneered with Bubinga burr wood, presenting a cubic box opening with two doors covered with an original havana calf box with gilded fillets. Blue ceramic keyhole by Jean Mayodon decorated with a moray eel on a background of aquatic vegetation set with gilded bronze, opening on an oak interior compartmentalized with three shelves. The cabinet rests on a lower box with two drawers with gilt bronze handles. Circa 1936.
